Instructor Profiles - Dan Jerwood

Assistant Instructor, 2nd Degree Black Belt

Dan began training under Kenny Walton (T.A.G.B. Head Coach) at Bradford University in 1991 (with some guidance from a promising Red Belt called Keith Raistrick). Dan was awarded his 1st Degree Black Belt in 1994 and 2nd Degree Black Belt in 1996 becoming the first 2nd Dan graded student under his then instructor Mr. Chris Beanland.

In 1995, Dan opened his own school in Ilkley and produced some excellent students who went on to success in regional tournaments as well as delivering excellent results at colour belt gradings until a change of 'day job' lead to the forced closure of the school and a shortly after retirement from Tae Kwon-Do training

After remaining out of the sport for 8 years, during which he spent a spell training in Muay Thai, Dan has returned to full time Tae Kwon-Do training at Mr. Keith Raistrick's schools. He has a wealth of experience of Tae Kwon-Do and a rekindled enjoyment of the martial art and is always very keen to pass on his knowledge to the other students in support of the training programs delivered by their Head Instructor.
